Sometimes, a tea of extraordinary quality can come to you on what you thought was an ordinary day and change your life forever.

This matcha, SEIJU is a special tea. From the moment you open the jar and gaze down, you notice a tea so electric green that you feel it is alive. Then, the fragrance hits you. It’s at once crisp and creamy. When added to water, the color turns into a deep cross between jade and forest green. Taking the first sip after its whisked, SEIJU takes on a sort of cotton candy quality, coating your mouth with its pillowy emerald waves with no trace of astringency. If this all sounds hyperbolic and over-the-top, that’s because that’s what SEIJU is: an absolute superlative.

A very precious blend of Okumidori, Asahi, Saemidori is favored by many in the Japanese tea ceremony world. Since only small amount can be produced, matcha in this highest-grade category is mainly consumed at special occasions such as an annual “Hatsugama”, a special tea ceremony to welcome the new year.

Contains 40g of matcha for about 20-30 servings.

· We believe every tea is an invitation to enjoy, explore, and educate. We invite you to be a Tea Master, no matter where you are on your tea journey, and discover a way to prepare this tea that works for you and your tea guests.

PREPARATION:

Please enjoy our guide “How To Make Matcha” which features simple instructions and a straightforward description for how to best prepare MINE traditionally.

We do not recommend using ceremonial matcha for lattes or smoothies, nor adding any sweeteners or milks to the tea. It’s spectacular just with water (not too hot, around 75 C/167 F).
